ok...my EB 5L is loosing coolant due to excess pressure in the cooling system and its pushing it out of the over flow tank ......wat could cause this excess pressure ???
if you drive it nocely it doesnt lose much but if you give a boot then its causes a lot more pressure....and the temp rises too..

yep....i also put a pressure tester on it, and it dropped about 2psi in 10 mins or so ( with the car off)......i then put the pressure tester on with the car running at normal operating temp & at about 2000 - 2500 rpm the pressure increased by bout 5 psi.......the head gaskets have just been replaced & new head bolts were used....

Seems like exhaust gas is pressurising the system. Get an exhaust gas test at a radiator shop to test for leaking head gasket (they use a litmus paper type thingo, very technical I am). Have you re-torqued the heads or are they torque once bolts. Not sure on your engine.

If you want to re-torque the head, undo 1/4 turn and re-torque to specs.

cheers
Scott
