hey,

does anyone know how many liters are in the sump to read full

i have a stock 351 sump and they dont come with dip stick's or holes as they go through the timing cover,

i am using the reverse rotation timing cover so obviously it doesnt have this hole

so as i stated before, i am looking for the amount of liters that sit in the sump to read full on the stick,

Cheers for your time, any advice is welcome

Depends on the sump. stock is about only 4.5L
Check my 351w into XE post it shows the HE sump I got. It has a side mounted dipstick much like a 5.0 Falcon pan. In fact I would have preferred the 5.0 dipstick boss mounted in the 351 pan.

The plan is to find the full mark and weld in a custom dipstick tube into the pan on the side like the 5.0L pan, i believe its a front pickup Bronco sump, will have to be modified to suit the NL K frame i think, will see how it goes when i can get time to drop it into a Frame, looking for a donor but they just dont come around, but one thing at a time for now,

their is always one issue after another

Cheers for the info Pete

Don't use the F-series/bronco sump. You want an XW type front sump or just get one from HE like I did already made up. Just make sure they don't make angled wings on the sump like they did to mine....I then had to modify it to make it fit an E-series.....you gotta keep on top of idiots!

Mine came without a dipstick hole also. I just measured up the 5.0 sump, cut a hole in the 351 sump, drilled out the riverts in the 5.0 dipstick tube mount and bolted the mount to the351 sump.
