You'll need a box for it too.
You'll also need to change the engine mount plates that are bolted to the front cross member.
Otherwise she'll be a very straight forward job.
Have you got everything as far as radiator, accessory brackets, bolts etc?

What auto, Borg 35 or C4?

Borg can't go behind an 8, and they barely hold up behind a 6 lol.

Go to a wrecker and get all your alt, power steer brackets and anything else you might need.

It kind of sounds like you're trying to do it on a shoe string full of short cuts, by doing that you'll run into nothing but problems.

There are ways around that, i used an XF shifter, i cut and modified the linkage to come out the opposite side.
Reason being, V8 shifters were bringing big money, especially XD/XE as they had the bracket on them to house the quadrant.
Tailshaft will be fine depending the the box you put into it.

Should be able to pick up a C4 box for about $100 -$150. Check ebay too.
