my old man has spotted my E7s in the shed, would he be able to fit them to the older carby 302W like in a XW/XY etc and would it provide any benefits over the stock ones.

According to the book, "Max Performance Ford V8's on a bugdet", These are good for 25hp increase on the older 302W. I doubt they would be that good, but the short answer is yes and they do provide some improvement over stock

They really aren't worth much, got rid of mine for $50 but have seen a few sets around for $100-250.
