hey all,
i need help pretty fast so i dont miss out on this car. a car has come up and the guy says that its an ex-pursuit eb 5ltr. he says that it has a 185kw motor? is there such thing? what other options did they come out with? how can i be sure the car is an ex-pursuit? would greatly appreciate a fast reply as i dont wanna miss out and would really like to get my eb xr8 on the road. (im abit unsure if this is the right section) cheers.

ELII XR8s had the 185kw motor, but they are easy to spot.
Look for squarer intake manifold with fins on the end. Look for holes drilled in dash, option 20 on compliance plate, although opt 20 was also taxis LOL An EB 5L would not have got anything special in the motor, ex cop cars being monsters is mostly a myth these days. Especially ones from the early 90s!!

so is there any other bonus of getting an ex pursuit car ova a normal 1? i asked him about the opt20 and he said yes it has the opt20 plate and has those police stickers inside the glove box and behind the dash.

There was OPT 20 and OPT 25, but I can't remember which one is which.
As in Taxi with gas, or Police option, but I think the ECU's have there own ID code for the cop ones, and they didn't shut down at 180kmh.

hi
i use to have a eb xr8 ex wa police it was pretty much just a plain xr8 with little things like extractors ,ecu chip and it had heavy duty std hight suspension with koni adjustable shocks and all suspension bushes were nolathane it had adjustable camber kits ..and left over wiring from lights and radio's lol..also alot of red dust inside of the doors and everywhere you couldnt get to.... but it was pretty much a std 5.0l oh and no speed limiter |

They're basically just a an XR8, with holes in the dash, and have been thrashed most of their lives...

well went and looked at it.
its just a stock eb motor. but its so f**k hard to find a v8 ova here in s**t w.a im going to get it any way.
