Does anyone know if the 5litre edelbrock rpm lower is the same as the rpm2 lower?

What is the best option to go for with regards to manifold. Explorer, Cobra or the Edelbrock RPM. I have read that the Explorer is better than the Cobra with a bit of porting. Ive seen Explorers selling for around $500 on the forums. I think the RPM is around $1000 new, and the cobra i seen for $400us from summit racing. Can you still buy the Cobra manifold from Ford Motorsport - how much are they?? I looking to get the most cost effective manifold, what should i go for??

Cheers guys

The Cobra and Explorer manifolds both share the same Lower half.

The upper half are pretty similar too, it'd be hard to pick em apart.

You might be thinking of the gt40 tubular upper, again they are pretty good as well and share the same explorer lower too. There is a bottleneck where the throttle body attaches to it, very minor for a NA set up.

Either one of those 3 for a good price would be fine.

The RPM and the Performer are the same. Pretty sure the RPMII is a bit shorter than both of them two.

Send an email to edelbrock tech enquiries to find out for sure.
