Hey guys, I have an 1998 el Gli falcon 4lt 5spd manual. I have been talked out of an forced induction setup in favour of an bored and stroked N/A 5.0lt. I'm trying to rap my head around what i am going to need to get it all to work. If anyone have any ideas about wiring, cluster, ecu and transmission mods needed to get this to work I would love to hear from you.

I am looking at an 5.0lt from an nc fairlance which comes with the loom and ecu, I'm also trying to keep my 5spd box.

Thanks guys, any little bit of info will be greatly appreciated.

Do a search and you should find all your answers.

Long story short is you will need a v8 engine & gearbox, v8 engine loom, v8 ecu, possibly the cluster too.

Would be heaps easier to go the turbo route or just sell your current ride & get a v8 one to play with.

Cheers

Cluster doesn't need to be changed from EF onwards.

You need the engine, v8 trans, engine loom, ecu, all engine acessories, exhaust. Air con refridgerant lines are all different, power steering lines and fuel lines are too.

Steering intermediate shaft may need to be changed.

Having an EL V8 donor car will make it alot easier and cheaper.

I agree. If you want to go really quick, you have to spend a lot on a windsor.

I forgot you will also need all the coolant hoses, heater tap etc.
