righteo
EL XR8 exhaust, i want it to sound throaty and obviously free it up a bit.
im thinking twin 2.5" into a single 3" once it goes over the diff.
best i can describe the note i want is throaty and makes it sound tough
without being defenaly loud (excuse spelling)

what brand mufflers do you reckon i should use?
im thinking 12" hooker aerochambers 2.5" straight through, one on each pipe.
or edelbrock SCTs....

what do you guys reckon?

Twin 2 1/4" all the way from cats to rear bumper.
Fully mandrel bent with an x-pipe.
Two Hooker Aerochamber mufflers, one on each pipe.
Will give you the sound and performance your looking for.
Also really quiet and ZERO drone whilst cruising, but step on the loud pedal and you soon know about it.

is that what you are running on yours?
what length? and what size?

ill be sticking a 2031 cam in it with ported GT40Ps too.. its a series 2 so it has the explorer intake already.
i like the sound of the magnaflow 11366s : http://store.summitracing.com/partdetai ... toview=sku

driven an EB XR8 with the twin 2.25" all the way, gained bout 15-20kw alone from that.

really like the note of my old mans 351 clevo, old school balsy note....

Yep that vid has probly got the best example of the sound in it. Although it still doesnt sound the same as real life.
No part numbers on hand of the mufflers but this is the best pic i've got of them which shows they are offset in/centre out in obviously 2 1/4".

Also, heres another vid of it at full noise.

Balances the pressure between the two pipes.

yeah bought steves car, drives GREAT only drove it for 2mins and stalled it once, that was a bit embarassing.

with the balancing out of the exhaust pressures, does that give you any extra power or smoothness orrr?

supposedly helps torque, promotes smoothness, dunno about gains compared to 2 straight pipes or a H set up.

Apparently the X pipe does gain hp and gives it a little better note. According to my exhaust shop he always does it and wont do a exhaust without it. http://www.bestmufflers.com.au

Check out his gallary and u will quickly notice all big engine V8's have a X pipe and alot of the engine builders get him to do exhausts for there customers. Id do ur exhaust like this customers XE ESP but obviously different pipe size all the way through.

Note: when u put ur mouse cursor over the pictures it changes the angle of the picture :D

http://www.bestmufflers.com/Information ... xe_esp.htm

Magnaflow mufflers are my choice

Sound awsome and gives it a nice deap note like a hooker muffler

sweet so it sounds like a good idea then!

how much can be gained from the exhaust and a set of extractors? already has high flow cats on it.
10rwkw? or am i asking a bit much?
