Hi guys,

I have just bought a 97 EL XR8 (185kw). 5 Spd Man.

This may seem like a stupid question but I have been driving it for about a week now, and in low revs, it is starting to make a noise coming from just below the gears.

It doesn't make a noise any other time, unless its in low revs, in which case it sounds like a scraping noise. Would any one have any idea's or is this a job for the mechanic?

Also, it sounds like the Diff is on the way out. Anyone know a roundabout price on how much it would be to replace one?
