You copy cat Trick Flow EL :D
Nah they look shocking unpainted.
Yes they are only for cosmetics to cover up the poor effort by Ford with the wiring etc.

Both those covers look f**k awesome .... the white with blue is a nice touch too like an old skool XC cobra...

so you have had no issues with the paint cracking or peeling cos its not heat temp stuff ??

For that job you'd be silly not to get some form of high resistent paint anyways...can easily come by stuff tho that handles 500-650'c without spending loads of dosh

Trick flow EL I think you missed my question so ill ask again:

I'm curious how you fit the engine cover with the XR8 plaque as I have a 5.0 Litre V8 one with my explorer manifold and thought I would have to get rid of the cover all together. Did you have to add holes for screws or did it hold with the existing mount points?
Cheers

Sorry about that, the cover is the standard cover that has had the 5 litre fuel injection logos filled in with bog, sanded and painted.
The XR8 and Tickford wings logos are painted on.
The mounting holes remain the same.
