just tiding up the engine bay, took the covers off, and thought.... is there any need for them to be there?

so the questions is, is there any purpose for them, or just looks??

i was thinking maybe for heat dispersion, but i doint see how that would do anything for the engine...

if anyone could answer my question, it wouold be great, as i have everything off at the moment...

cheers boys!!

Just looks, no other reason - theory is the less you see the tidier it looks.

No negatives, unless you like the look of it.
If you do, getting it colour coded can look nice.
I kinda like the naked look myself, but I have got the cover still on in the Sprint.

Yeah i had mine off for ages... much easier to get to various bits and pieces without scratching around for those damn torx bits.

I must say tho... the dizzy and injector loom isnt the nicest thing to look at...

I much prefer to have it on there, its also easier to keep the engine bay looking cleaner than when its naked
