Hey, I've got a 5 litre EL, and the idle is madly hunting up and down when the engine is cold, and it only smooths out a little bit when it's warm. The car the engine came out of used to be on Gas, and someone has chopped one of the wires going to the ISC, I re connected it, and then it idled really fast and still hunted a bit, I cleaned out the ISC using the same method as mentioned in the tech doco on here (I know the tech doco is for a 6cyl but it will still apply to a V8) and it made no different what so ever. I have checked for vacuumn leaks by spraying WD40 and Rost off all around the intake, it made no difference, all the vac hoses seem intact, what to I check next?

Yeah I'd be checking how far the throttle is open. I'd bet the TPS is well over 1volt.
