Guys,

I have recently bought a October 2001 AU series II XR8. This is the first V8 i've owned, so be gentle with me.

The car has been lowered, but other then that is completely stock. From my experiences it is WAY to quite for my tastes (doesnt have that nice V8 rumble ive heard off other XR8's)

I want to get a new exhaust system installed, just wondering what i should be looking for to give the car the ford rumble it so richly deserves??

And if possible where abouts in Brisbane i could find said modification...

Any and all comments/help on this matter would be appreciated, as i said, this is my first V8, but at the moment it just doesnt sound like it

Hey buffage25,

Nice choice in transport!

I have a twin 2 1/2 with 4 into 1 extractors on mine. Sounds sweet.

Do a thread search (at top of page) on exhausts. Been discussed in detail a few times.

Good luck mate, but you'll use a lot more fuel with an exhaust just so you can hear the roar

Hey man, i got and 01 AU II XR8 220kw and i am in the same boat, there are that many options out there i have been to every exhaust shop in town and thay have all told me different options... the cheap way is single 3'' cat back for around 600 bucks.. and from what i have seen and heard are a good bang for ya buck.. but i am mainly after proformence.. i i haven't got it down yet but i am gana got with a set of pacemaker 4 into 1 extractors, stainless steal cats and twin 2 1/4 straight though system, i have done s**t loads of research on this and in my opion that's the way to go.... but hey, what every floats ya boat.. let me know what ya decide on.
