The only way that could break in the first place is if someone prised it off without undoing that bolt.

cost me 50 to get it welded today i spent a hour filing it and making sure it was level then bam cracks again it must be up the s**t real bad gonna have to get the upper and lower milled i think, oh my must this engine fight me the whole friggin way!!!

Get some alloy need it... or take it back cause if cracks appeared by only filing the slag off etc the weld wasn't that crash hot to start with.

U need to get it TIG welded it reduces the heat. by looking at the break the cast looks slightly airated. don't get it stick or mig welded too much heat. it will continualy crack. Good Luck

I WOULDNT GO BACK TO THAT WELDER, if you dont have penetration you dont have strength.
Being cast it should hae been pre heated too.
That broken piece looks dirty on the top part of the break so it may have been cracked for a while for crap to gather in the broken part.

Make sure you get a perfect seal around the crack and between the upper and lower otherwise it will run lean on that cylinder and you risk damage to the piston. Or if the leak is quite small and doesn't damage the engine it will be difficult to tune and get running right with the other 3 cylinders on the bank running rich as the O2 sensor and ecu try and get the average AFR to 14.6.
