i want purchase the GT40 explorer manifold from the US. are they the same as the AU2 XR8 type? as below

Check the U.S. version to see if it comes with the EGR port - in case you want to use it.

stupid question...what does the EGR do (something to do with emissions), and what benefit is it to block if any. cheers

Its reversible. But yeh, just check EGR, otherwise it should be good to go.

That is not a GT40 manifold....its an Explorer manifold (same as on all our AU V8's)
Buy it from the States if you really want, but there are already plenty for sale over here for around $400. |
