AU extractors won't fit into an EF-EL. You're going to need EF-EL extractors, or find some stockies somewhere.

Why wont they fit? I had Pacemakers on my EB with GT40P heads, Just made a couple of them hard to get out, and I had to get leads with 90 degree ends on them.

Pacemakers made for an EB will fit an EB. AU extractors won't fit E series as it fouls with the cross member.

I put GT40P heads on my EB, the extractors are designed for E7TE heads, so XH/EF/L should follow the same line.

what he is saying, is do you have the au extractors on your car or are the pacemakers ones you already had on there

The difference isn't in the heads. The AU is a different car.

i doing the same conversion with my ef xr8....

pacie PH4000 extractors will fit. only prob will be the clearence on the furthurest left on each head sparkplug. i will post up pics of the clearance... are you going to use the coilpacks and everything or u converting it all back to original accesories so u can use your old loom...

i found there was a lot of stuffing around with the electrics. on mine. so opting for original front end accesories just seemed like the easiest option... also did u get the au trans with it also... if so where are you planning to mount the oil cooler... if u need any info on this conversion give me a call on 0400269667. it may be preety helpfull.

What is an AU III 220kW motor worth these days?

Is it worth the conversion in say a XH ute with a 165kW V8 in it?

roughly 3500. with trans..... but id say it depends on what ur buying it for. did u wanna run things like au power steering, au coil packs etc... pain in the but. use all ur old front end accesories and yes id say its a worthy mod... u get gt40p heads, yella terra cam n roller rockers, explorer intakes, 70mm throttle body and maf, need diff plugs put on it throttle body tho. can re use ur maf plug...

I thought AU II motors were 200kw, not 220?
