Hello, does anyone know if you can buy shift kits for a 1992 Ford Fairmont EB2 v8?

(For an electronic shiftkit)
Shortens the time the gearbox takes to switch gears. It doesn't decrease the length of time it takes for the computer to decide to change gears, it's just the change itself is sharper. From what i know, less time between gears = more time accelerating & less time switching gears = less heat generated = good thing.

However there are arguments against it, ie it puts significantly more force on the auto and i'm sure the diff too. The general consensus seems to be that if your box is in good condition, go for it. If it's not though, you'll probably end up killing it faster.

I wouldn't worry too much about the diff as they are fairly tough. I know a guy running well over 350rwkw through one that hasn't broken it yet.

I'd worry about uni-joints but, tailshaft uni's are apparently known for letting go with shift-kits throwing them about
