Hi there everyone in ford land. Got a problem with my EF5L. Every time i go to put fuel in, the bloody pump clicks off. Takes me around 10 Minutes to fill from empty becuase i can only just touch the nozzle. If i go over about ½ pressure on the nozzle it will click off. Any help greatly appreciated as it is pis*&% me off big time.
Im thinking maybe a blocked breather or something???????????
Thanks in advance fellas

i have this problem sometimes aswell, i've found if u move the nozzle around or pull it out bout half way it fixes it most of the time, i think its the pumps problem, going from wat i've read about this problem elsewhere.

Or the breather for the fuel tank is blocked?

I think I recall in another discussion about this problem, someone mentioned there's a breather hole near the filler hole which you can hit with a blast of compressed air and clean it out. I may have been dreaming this and I'm sure someone will be able to correct me if I'm wrong.

I would assume that if it can get blocked by having something lodged in it, then it is possible to use pressurized air to blow the blockage back out...but in saying that, the gunk that was blocking the breather hose will fall back into the petrol tank only to be sucked up by the fuel pump and through he fuel filter.

But at least you'll cure the problems at the bowser..

Please do not quote me as lack of sleep and alcomohol do not combine well to give advise :D.

The flap can become dislodged(flap to stop crap going into tank) and make it hard to fill up by partially blocking the hole.Happened on my au
