Utes never came with the 220kw engine, they where only fitted to the XR8 Sedans.

Correct. I have recently done a bit of research on this as a mate of mine has just bought a series3 220kw sedan and was also considering the ute.

I can third this....we used to have an XR8 Series III ute, only had the 200kw jobbie.....couldnt get the 220.....they reserved the power for the pursuit ute to give it an even larger gap

The AU Pursuit ute actually had the 250 kw Windsor stroker.
I'd say that engine you have has been put in after the fact, they never made a 220 in the utes.

A set of TFS twisted wedge or AFR 165 alloy heads would be a good start.

If you are set on getting a blower, I'd look at a positive displacement unit rather than a centrifugal one.

I'm looking at getting a Kenne Bell whipple-style supercharger on mine. The kit for the 5.0 Mustang fits under the bonnet nicely. Terry at BPT has one on his 347. Give them a call and I'm sure they'd be able to give you plenty of info. Have a look at www.kennebell.net as well.
