Scored myself an 2003 AU upper and lower intake (explorer) with the injector rail, injectors, loom, hoses and ECU for $400, What ya reckon?? Will the ECU plug into my DC? or will i have to do a bit of modding, im pretty sure they used the EEC V which is on the EL2's so it should plug in? But i'm prob' wrong.

What else do i need to do to fit these goodies?

Intake itself is pretty much bolt off bolt on. ECU won't work for many many reasons. Coil pack for start? Otherwise good value mate. Good find.

What did they blue ones come off? The reckons it come off a 2003 XR8, but didnt the 2003 xr8's have the blue 24Ib injectors instead of these orange 19's? Would the ECU be any better than the current EEC IV even if i got all the right bits?

Waste of time. You really want to play with the ECU? Get tunerpro, go to http://www.moates.net/ get some good gear to tune your car (on the fly if you want), get a decent datalogger and do it yourself. Warning: Lots of learning involved.

Bout the only thing of use to you there is the Explorer upper and lower and the 65mm T/B.
The rest is pretty much useless to you unless you want to run coilpacks and change to EV6 type injectors.

Yes very true, I've seen AU stock V8s with both blue and orange injectors.

Yep the blue ones are 24's. However EV6 type 42's are blue aswell but lighter.

Yeah your EB should have orange EV1 type.

Plenty of elbow grease and then some. Lots of work but the end result is worth it.

I used a small roller with sandpaper to get rid of the casting sand finish and then the old wet 'n' dry until very smooth. I bought some Josco wheels with their soap bars to polish it up.
