current motor is cammed as well and only 65000km old so don't really want to get rid of it. have to keep my eye out for some heads. some on ebay for $650. is there any heads around the same price (later model/aftermarket) that will not require me to change extractors as well as i understand that with the gt40p's i will.

If you are not in a rush, you should be able to pick up some low-ish Km GT40P's off eBay or FordForums for less than $800. Explorer manifolds seem to go for around $600 too.

Dont forget to replace the head bolts when you swap heads. Originals are not re-usable.

What extractors are you running? I had heard that the Pacemaker tri-y's for E-Series (PH4001?), worked OK with GT40P's and 90 degree spark plug boots....not 100% sure on that though.

Pacemaker might be able to confirm that?

PH4000 headers will fit GT40P heads with 90 degree spark plug boots.

I just won a set of GT40Ps from ebay for $650.
40,000ks old. Great value. I've never seen that that cheap before.
Should arrive sometime next week.

Probably. I'm getting mine from Carl in St Albans. I'm using Air Road Direct to courier them to me.
The ones I'm getting are 40,000ks old.

Bargain.

40,000 k's is pretty good! I got my first set of GT40P heads with 28,000 k's on them and I reckon with those few k's on them, I can consider them practically brand new.
I got a spare set of GT40P's that have only ever been test fired on a engine by Ford U.S. and then pulled off and put into storage and their condition is immaculate.

They may be up for sale soon unfortunately but when you need money - you have to sell what you can... :(

I thought you already had a set Sean? Well anyway, I might bring them to the dyno day and maybe a couple of other items I don't need and see what sort of interest I get. If the price is right then I might part with them.

Let me know too. Will depend on how much you want and how much I have in the bank at the time though.

I'll sell to anywhere Kilma as long as the price is right. I have some digital photos of them at home... I might post some up in the for sale section and see what interest I get.
