I've just got the heads back on my 5.0 EF, and am dropping in the head bolts, but i seem to be missing one. There is one bolt which i think may be correct, but it has an extra piece of thread on top of the head. If this is the correct bolt, and i think it is, where does it go! I cant think of anything else it would hold on, and im stuck! Can someone please have alook in a hurry! :D

Cheers

Im pretty sure the bolt with upper thread goes on the inlet manifold, rearmost passenger side.

I may be incorrect!

I wouldn't think a head bolt would vary

If its head bolts your talking about, that bolt goes drivers side front bottom position. Its for bolting on dipstick bracket and earth strap.
you just need a correct size nut and washer for the top thread.
