If you are planning to stay with a 5.0L and feel the AFRs are out of your budget, consider RHS's new 160cc alloy head. They run a 1.94" intake valve so no piston mods are necessary, and prior to the $$$ heading to Antarctica they were approx $1800 a pair complete.

that's the price range i'm looking at for a complete pair, i can get a complete pair of windsor snr's for $1750 here in melb.
the rhs 160's is that au$ ? if so who stocks them?

blked: are those heads on the stroker motor your got? which would have notched piston's?.

jaysen: thanks for the graph's, what is the combo your running with those heads? out of interest & what sort of power is it making?

thanks steve.k.

Ive got the windsor jr's, E303, 24lb/hr's ported HO and EL GT extractors with a 3" exhaust. Probably making something in the order of 180RWKW, nothing flash, but its fun

have had a look at there & rhs website but no info on the 160's only the 180,200,215's, checked a "yank" online site but no info just a price.

after thinking of the info at hand , are going to put on what part's i've got
along with a cam & rocker upgrade & put away some cash for...
A: a crate motor that has all the good bit's ready to go. or...
B: a vortec kit to strap onto what i've got.
so now are after more info :?
the engine is a stock 5l & i've added, a ss cai, k&n filter, te50 maf housing with std electrics (for 19 lb injector's), custom 3" intake tube, underdrive pulley's, pacie / hiflow metal cat's & 3" mandrel exhaust, & upgraded from a 3.23 single to a 3.45 lsd.

i have a typhoon manifold (performer ripoff)with a 1/2" spacer & both a 70 & 80mm holley t/body & egr to suit , as well as 24lb injector's ready to go on.

so  what cam & rocker setup will suit what i've got/ready to go on?

thanks steve.k.

You dont want to decide this untill you have chosen the heads you want to run. Choose the heads then choose the cam to suit then choose the rockers to suit the cam.
Or are you keeping the E7's and adding a blower? Surely not.

sorry  after what cam & rockers would suit what i've/part's got to put on. to keep me happy for now.

the blower is option (b) which would need heads to suit
i'm more likely to get a crate motor as it comes with all the goodies 8-)

E303 shoudl work well. Definately run 1.7's with it though if P/V clearance permits. As you would know that is what im running in mine.

Just in case you don't search,

ANY PROCOMP PRODUCT = BAD
They make the $2 shop look like they sell nothing but high quality products.

They are NOT even that good...
I know a machine shop that uses them for door stops..
