g'day
i'm after some info on head size? to compare from .
eg: afr 165's.....etc.
what is the size of the standard e7 head? & the gt40p?

i'm looking at a pair of "world windsor jnr's" at the minute which are 180's.
they also got the "snr" which are 200's, looking at these as i only want to do top half upgrade & are quoted as a "bolt on upgrade" with standard pistons.
has anyone used or know of anyone who's used them? & with what result?
i've been told that there out of the same factory as "dart" heads.

thanks steve.k.

Go the AFR165's or AFR185's....the Worlds are old hat I'm afraid.
E7's are about 127cc on the inlet. 40p's are about 8cc more.

Yup Pete is right, Ive got the Windsor Jr's and I wish I just had got a set of TFS or AFR's. They are kind of a bolt on fit, but core shift is an issue with them, I had to move all the ports by up to 1/8", valve guides in the port need attention and they are just plain heavy. Dont go too bad, but I could have done better.

Actually they are available in Ally too...Roush 180,200 etc are one and the same...still s**t though.
If you want Iron go Pro-topline(pavtech sell them) but then I'd still pay the extra and go ally every time.

Pete, i heard a rumour the twisted wedge 225s cant be fitted to 5.0's due to the valve angles. I have a set for the 427 and was going to fit them to the 5.0 when i burnt a valve on my Sportsmans. I know there may be issues with the valve to piston clearance, but i dont think that would be a problem in my case as i have had the pistons notched for the 2.08 intakes in the sportsmans. Can you confirm if the Twisted wedge would be a bolt on proposition in my case
Brett

was looking at those that pavtek do, but then for an extra few grand can have there "silver 347" 430 odd hp crate motor with all the good bit's. (which was..& still is an option)
my goal is to get some good bang for my buck like everyone, so are at the cross roads.....getting a piece here & there? or wait & get a strong pavtek crate donk?

World Product heads do not compare to AFR, TFS, RHS or even Edelbrock Performer RPM heads.

As for 'bang for buck' purchasing a ready built engine from a shop such as Pavtek will almost certainly work out cheaper than piecing together your own combo from all over the place.

If you are planning to stay with a 5.0L and feel the AFRs are out of your budget, consider RHS's new 160cc alloy head. They run a 1.94" intake valve so no piston mods are necessary, and prior to the $$$ heading to Antarctica they were approx $1800 a pair complete.

That's like asking, how long is a piece of string ??
Even pete can't answer that..
It needs to be measured.. Clay on piston assembly and turn engine over then check thickness of clay...

Thanks 380, but i was actually referring to the angle of the valves. I am aware that they will need to be measured etc, but wa s hoping for a quick bolt on to get it running again.

The angle of the TFS 225s to the best of my knowledge isn't any different to the standard Twisted Wedge head... Its merely a larger CNC'd version of the head.
