standard maf/injectors. Twin 2&1/4 exhaust magna flow muffler and resonators, pacemackers, k&n filter, and cold air intake. I reckon the trick is with cappa tuning is to find someone that is clued up with the system, that tunes your car on a dyno.

geez thats impressive mate mine went from 146rwkw to 176 but its runnin real lean at idle and is a bit erratic ive been thinkin bout a custom tune but its $2000 over here which is nearly what it cost to do the cam and heads and ive heard some reports of people only gettin 7kw gains, but that sounds awsome mate :D

Looking good Clampy, 260 at the tyres from a 5.0 with that exhaust is nothing to be ashamed of!

As a reference Leon's EL made 286rwhp, same basic package but with the TFS heads back in '98 or so, using the stock EL GT ecu. So with a decent exhaust yours will be on par with that easily.

I'm sure you have your own ideas as far as exhausts go, but a twin 2.25" with Magnaflows will unlock some grunt and sound excellent, alternatively a different muffler you might want to consider is the Hooker Aerochamber... They produce a nice deep note, or even Lukey Ultraflows...

Keep us posted with how it goes, bummer to hear about the cam gear, I'm disappointed in Comp myself of late, we've been having a bad run. Not just with supply delays but also QC and wrongly supplied parts.

Cheers,
-Dave.

Last I heard it still wasn't tuned and he'd sold the Simmons for some other wheels. I belive it went mid 270s at the BPT dyno day but someone will be able to confirm that for me.

I don't think he sold the Simmons. I think he just picked up some other ones to use as daily driver rims.

From memory, it was around the 270 mark.

While we're on the sublect of blue bottles, i still have a Universal EFI wet kit in the garage, wonder if i can make its way onto the ute???

270rwhp is a VERY nice figure if still untuned. Doesnt he have a twEECer and has abit of a play with the tune himself??

His Tweecer was incompatible with the EL GT ECU I believe... That was the holdup last I heard. I think it ended up at 276rwhp. Correct me if I'm wrong!

What NOS kit have you got Jeff? I'd be hesitant to put it on a standard bottom end, especially with the power you're already making. :)

With some new pistons & rods however... ;)

Standard bottom end can take it no worries, mine turned 189rwkw and then took a 125hp hit of gas. No probs at all.

Its a universal EFI V8 Wet kit (p/n - 05131NOS)

Dont worry i AM hesitant to fit it up, been sitting around for a while collecting dust, its missing a few little pieces nothing major though apart from a few jets. I had it for sale on here a while ago but had no genuine interest.
