Fairlanes come standard with alluminium driveshafts.. But yes, there is no real reason to want to go beyond that speed. What are you looking at doing? If you insist you want to get rid of the limit, find an XR ECU or buy a chip from chiptorque.

do you understand the difference between need and want.

unless you are on a race track (unlikely in a lwb) then there is no need to be doing those speeds.

The quick way to disable the limter is to put a switch in your VSS line to the EEC and switch it off. No speed signal...no limit.

Then your speedo would read 0km/h wouldn't it?

The only opportunity I can see in getting a stock LWB past 180km/h would be if you were to run it on the salt.

To say what its worth, only way to do it, is XR ecu (no limmiters on them) or a chip,
but honestly, its not worth it, your gonna pay a few hundred or more for what/......push 200+ once and a while, and mayyybe kill urself?
If u wanan go for it, but just tryina save you a few bucks:P,
oh btw, i heard today from a friend..
LWB going over 160 is NOT a good thing, as they tend to get the tailswing, if it swings out at that speed....
say goodbye to Sexy 5.0ltr...
Conclusion, spend ur money towarads a turbo, so u can get 0-100 quicker...not beyond:P
haha

No, it would be reading the speed as usual.
