If you pulled apart some of these 'hand built' engines and had a look inside you'd not be impressed by what you see... They may be hand built but they're not meticulously blueprinted or assembled. IMO they should have been put together a lot better.

Do the factory windsors that a1 have pulled apart have a oil pump gasket between the block and pump? I read an article in a mag about a rebuild on an au xr8 ute and they mentioned the oil pump gasket,or the lack of it.
Is this correct? :lol:

My Xr8's engine was built by Tong Lam as well. Maybe we should start an appreciation society or something?
