Yeah had a thought about going out there too and trying to fit a Veilside kit off a supra. Maybe that could be a little bit too far lol

Hehe, great minds think alike, maybe fill the gap with an intercooler and attach a turbo to the other end of it lol, deff give you that torque your looking for

Must admit i had a look at that myself, but as i am getting a new engine built next year its not really on the cards, will prob just hook up nitrous for some track fun till it is built then transfer it across.

Get a 3 piece set from BPT. The alternator pulley is actually slightly smaller than stock to speed it back up so you don't get charging problems. Having said that I haven't bothered to fit mine and I have no charging problems and that's on both the 351 and now the 302.
The main benefit with underdrives is that you free up power and torque over the entire rev range not just one small part of it. This is what makes them best bang for the buck and they just bolt on too.
Bump your base timing to about 32deg too.

the alt pulley isnt a press on, it slides on the alt shaft and is tightened down with a nut. Ideally you would take the alternator apart and clamp the shaft in a vice to tighten the nut up enough but I found it holds itself on via the rotation of the pulley so I just did it up as tight as I could while on the car and was done with it. A Cool thign I found with the billet underdrives is they shined the back of the drivebelt hahaha. Looks nice and buffed :)
