hey ppl i just got a BA XR8 ute. i live in vitoria, where is a good performance place i can achieve this power, money isnt a factor, i dont want forced induction, NA V8 is the go 4 me, i heard blue power racing developments are the best out there for NA BAs, any other sugestions

best be would be to go into every performence shop and ask them what they can do for you! and chose from there. if money isnt a factor why not go to 400rwkw ;)

i dont think i can get that sort of power without forced induction, i really dont like hair dryers that much, have u got any sugestions,

The guy I work for has an xe esp ghia dyno'd before last engine death at 440rwhp the new motor will be in over the next 2 to 3 weeks should have 650hp at the fly wheel with 500+rwhp and its not forced induction so 300rwkw out of a modern technology engine isn't a big ask

Then ill try and get the most power out of the engine as posible. where do i go. thats the big question.

The first question I have and be honest, how much horse power or kw have you really driven. I'm not trying to be a smart a*** but dont want to see another 20 year old dead on the news in a car that they cant handel. Big power demands respect.

I think stroking is about the only option isn't it? I haven't seen any 300kw 5.4 BOSS's as far as I know... I may be wrong tho.

Nope, 300rwkw and more is achievable with the 5.4 with standard stroke.
Barry from BPT achieved 391rwhp with only external mods to his GT engine.
Of course, looking only for a peak figure of any number is pointless. What you want is area under the curve. One area where the DOHC headed 5.4 is lacking is low end torque. So any mods aimed at a top end increase must be balanced by the need to retain low end torque. Barry did achieve this with his GT.
Of course he has now completely fixed any low end deficiencies with an Eaton M112 supercharger. Suddenly this GT has bigblock torque and the power is about the same number as before but using KW for the units!

some one told me the boss 5.4 motors cant be stroked! something about its at its limit???

wouldn't surprise me.
boss engine ain't all that fantastic. As much as I hate to admit is the LS1/LS2 are much better v8s.
Simple head and cam package for about 5 grand will get your LS1 to 300 at the rear wheels, and it can still be stroked to 383 and i believe some people are looking at forced induction for them as well. Engine is easily good for 10s.
You want 300 rwkw? buy an xr6 turbo :p.

the boss motors are oversquare,so stroking is out the question as it will make tthe block to weak.
