didn't know where to stick this post, but anyway, what do you guys with non-standard manifolds, engine mods, intake components etc do for comprehensive insurance, I will soon be putting a cobra manifold on my EF and decided to check with NRMA if it would affect my premium, well it does more than affect it, they won't cover me  due to the fact that it has the potential to increase the power output of the engine above standard, sort of spooked me because I've already fitted a bigger MAF and TB and U/D pulleys

Just cars lets you have unlimited mods providing they are legal and roadworthy

Im with just cars and they let u do anything, legal, and it just bumps up ur premium untill u hit the top mark then u can go nuts and it costs u no more, Im well into that top band now and still ring em every few weeks just to give them the update, but the catch it they wont insure me full comp.... or fire and thieft.... just 3rd party.... dont quite get it myself.

With shannons you pay an extra amount on your excess and it covers unlimited mods, provided they are told what they are and they are legal. It was an extra $400 for me.

JCI or shannons. JCI a better option for the under 25's so i'd give shannons a buzz.

thanks guys I've tried both, Shannons come up with $776 and Just car will get back to me, I'm a tad shocked as my NRMA fully comp is only $550, but I guess that's what you get when you start to play with cars.

Shannons insurance does respect that FORDMODS IS A CAR ENTHUIEST WEB SITE as I rang them the other day & they asked me if I was in car club I said no but asked the guy if he had heard of FORDMODS and the answer is YES.
So they do better deals then AAMI & the NRMA so give them a go for insurance renewal

Yep those two are the go. When I got my last quotes off them it was about $700 full comp with JCI and about $850 or so full comp with Shannon's.

I am with shannons, and they have been great.

I used to be with Just Cars for a while, but they were too expensive (just over $4k), So I went to NRMA. The only wanted $3800 (this was for a "stock car" too)

I turned 24, and moved over to Shannons, and its under $1k, all mods listed, and agreed value of $26k

I got told my car wasn't old enough for Shannons.

JCI was my insurer, but they won't value it for as much as I want, so its going in for a vehicle inspection with RAC this week.

Does Shannons even insure under-25's?
They spun s**t when I tried to get a quote off them for the Sprint as well...
Now with JCI, but not exactly happy, agreed value ain't what it should be, but no one else will do any better :(
