Hi All,

Sorry for the silly question, but do I need some sort of adapter to put a pod on an EB 5lt?

Also, will a 3" pod fit?

Thanks,

Justin.

i put one on my ef, used a piece off a 6cyl airbox (where the intake pipe bolts to airbox) like reversed that bit and bolted it to the maf, then a pod on the end. :)

i think mine is a 3'' one...

is there any difference in performance when using a POD compared to the K & N panel filter?

I would expect the pod to be a bit doughier in traffic situations unless it's shielded, which I'm sure as hell not doing.

lol, i put the tailpipe back on tonight... it has a twin 2inch system but it sounded a little too wierd with no tailpipe.
also put a bigger maf off an au on, that combined with the pod has made the induction sound abit better.

Spewin! What sorta weirdness was happening with the sound? AU maf sounds good, pity I just sold mine.

did you leave the maf on when it had a pod? something isn't right it shouldn't do that...

it sounded ok with no tailpipe under acceleration, but was a little loud when cruising or light throttle. its too quiet with a tailpipe tho :(

just make a bracket up with some aluminium, stainless nuts and bolts and a tig welder. looks heaps better and u know it wont bend or break. I went from having a k&n panel filter with cold air intake to unboxed k&n pod filter. I noticed no gains or losses in power but noticed more suction noise. I left it unboxed and unshielded purely becuase i like the look of them. If you like i can post some pics of my setup

Thanks for the tip mate, did that exact thing today, worked perfectly. Tip for anyone who cares, don't use an AU one as the inlet is tiny. Ended up swapping it for an EF one.

Kev also chopped the res out for me today, now it's starting to sound a little like an 8.
