I cleaned the MAF on my AU, now all it does is rev limiter, there is no idle, or any form of driveability

Not saying this to make you sound silly, but you wouldn't have happened to put a rag in the intake pipe while cleaning the MAF, as I can not see the it reving to that RPM without the throttle stuck open.

A mate I worked with accidentally left a rag in a EF I6 intake after cleaning out the airbox etc when he was an apprentice, the owner of the car manage to get about 10kms before they mashed the throttle to overtake someone, the rag pulled ended up jamming the throttle open, the owner stated he was almost in an accident because of it.

Check your TB?
It's getting enough air to rev to 5900rpm from somewhere.
And I don't think it's through the ISC.

try tapping the accelerator pedal, try moving the throttle linkage on the T/B, make sure you have replaced everything u played with when taking the maf out.

Falcon gl that won't apply to EF onwards, they don't use vacuum for the cruise control like EA-ED do.
