hi nannas ed, just wondering i fyou have an idea how your mate did it? wheer was the turbo mouneted? did it just run off a single exhaust manifold?

his turbo is mounted where the airbox used to be (behind the lhf headlight)

im not sure how the manifolds are setup, to tell you the truth ive only ever seen under the hood once since he got it turboed. unlucky for him about 3 weeks after he had got it done a bloody jag ran up his a** and the cars been sitting in a panel shop since.

id say the drivers manifold has been cut and somehow joined to passenger side manifold and then piped into the turbo.

next time i see him i will ask him for you

Find out what your comp ratio is and work out how much power you are after and go from there, the cheapest option around is two small turbo's off the single turbo 300zx's, they work well as twins on a v8 but may be slighty on the small side, which would be perfect for a street car. Fitting a larger single would be easier but you have to find a suitable one first, many large turbo's are off diesel trucks and tend to be designed to work at higher pressure ratios than what a v8 would run at.

diesel turbos work at lower rpm with more boost, thats what you would w
ant with a 5 litre, ive never met a diesel that likes to rev above 4

High boost pressure but low cfm..For size of engine...
You need to run high boost for turbo efficiancy in most cases..Check turbo maps...
