Yeah that would be good, an XR8 Van. The filter?....don't look at that bit...it's just held against the MAF with cable ties...better than nothing
That filter is now on a 70mm Cobra MAF until I get the MAF xfer nutted out for the 80mm job. It's a '96 Cobra MAF.
The tube is from a BA GT and I'll try to fit the BA air box in there too.

 Good ol' cable ties.
Surely there would be a way to get the BA box in there. Would you go the pod box or the panel style box?

I'd go the Pod box mainly because the lid can be switched with a U.S. Mass Air one and Ive got the whole assembly off the GT we had. Plus the panel type is much too big to fit.
Hey Steve, I think the fact that the plastic intake didn't fit is a blessing in disguise....they're rubbish!...unless you can handle saying goodbye to torque.

Nice, a mate of mine got the lid to suit from Battens. IIRC the T3 AU's used a similiar lid aswell, to bolt to MAF from their pod box.

What are these Ostrich Emulators?

Just out of interest, what have you used them on Pete. Ive never seen one in the flesh, but my 5.0 Dyno Runs book also states that they are useless on a 5ltr. If this is the case, then are they only intended for the 351?

Jeff, its an old toy I used to play with. We were only in the Fujitsu class, but for my first racing experience, it was great. Wish I got to drive before it was sold :( The Ostrich is just an interface between your Laptop and the EEC, and allows you to RT tune it, kind of like a Tweecer but without the Datalogging abilities

Yes that's right about the T3's but try finding one off one of them.
Bazza is out of stock with the Lids at the mo.
Go to moates.net for the Ostrich. It's a real time emulator that uses a number of freeware software options.

Sheds' a good place for it I suppose Steve.

I've never used one Jaysen....I've seen so many tests where they were a dog it's not funny. They would work on a 351 only because you could afford to give up some runner length but then it was only GT40 sized which still didn't compute with short runner/big power combos.
A guy did use one on Cobra kit car I wired up about 10 years ago...he switched to a Cobra intake within the week!

Looks impressive greg302. Do you have any dyno figures? I'd be very interested to see how it performs.
