wonder if they have a money back guarantee if I don't see results, last time someone tried to sell me snake oil (a magic muffler that was supposed to increase power by 20%), went very quiet when I asked about a money back guarantee if I did not see at least 15% increase on the dyno.....funny that.

To give an example we done some dyno testing on a genuine xygt recently, and the simplest power gain was to remove the engine fan, 18 rwhp, then confirmed this again with my own coupe gaining 17rwhp on the summer nats horsepower heros dyno simply by removing the fan.

Willing to give these pulleys a go, if there is a money back guarantee if I do not see the claimed 10rwkw on what I already have.

You have to have some leeway on the rwkw gained.
7-11kw would be enough.

Its definately not snake oil. Simple physics will tell you it works.
Also the pullys weigh less so there is less mass to spin which also helps.

My 5.0 EF went from 110rwkw dead stock to 118 with just the fitment of the FRPP pulleys. I did have trouble with the alternator, but that has been resoulved with a slightly custom larger pulley.
They definitely work

Even 7rwkw would be good for the money.....as power is expensive, and 7kw for $200 is a bargain...........

They are on the (long and growing) list of things to do to mine. I have only heard good things about them.

How come you had trouble with them Brett when no-one else seems to? Do you have a decent stereo or anything? Curiosity.

Big stereo, Aircon always on, and the FRPP kit is different to the one from BPT. Also, the NOS/bottle warmer do take a fair bit of power, and the only real times i have had issues is at the track where i have had these items on and forgot to turn them off, hence the flat battery. Also the alt was not reaching minimum charging rate, so a custom pulley was fabricated by the guys that made my balancer

can you get overdrive pulleys or smaller pulleys ?

Thats then would dissapate more engine power to supply more power to the accessory feeders like the alternator ?

I am very interested in doing these modifications to my EL2 XR8 as well. Just sent BPT an email to get prices etc and to see if they post parts out. Would the 24 pound injectors and sample tube got well with these mods or is that overkill for an otherwise standard engine?

So you only had this trouble when it moved away from stock form, or did you still have the trouble then as well?

Cheers
Damon

Great force!!!
My alternator pulley was the hardest pulley to get off ever.

1.5 meter pipe on a pipe wrench on the pulley and a .75m breaker bar on the nut.

Jesus I thought my car was going to implode with the force being used.
