Cheers mate. I am still spewing that I had to sell the car to purchase the F6. I lost waaaay too much money on that car. That exhaust cost me $3000 installed initially and then cost me another $1000 to get the pipework redone after it was lowered. These pics are from when it got redone.

Chuck the overrated 40P's away and get something else.
Then you're not limited for header choice or hp potential down the track.

Pete thats true but I want to keep it all Ford. Otherwise I would of gone the AFR 165 route.

After exhaust is done I should see over 200rwkw and I would be a happy man. I nearly got there as it is with 196rwkw and a better exhaust would push me over the 200 edge.

Stop filling my head with different ideas

XR9UTE is totally right and forget about keeping it all ford as its only heads which are built for a FORD so to me there isent any difference other than there performance heads which will get u extra hp which is what you want :D

Are you planning on a stroker engine in the future or anythig like that?

Reason is that if u do a 2.5inch would be better and thats why i asked what is your current budget set at and future plans so u dont do things twice and pay double like phatal for example.

That's what 40Y's or X's are for....way better than P's to start with and way more potential with porting down the track....So you can have your cake and eat it too.

Dammit now I have to look into 40Ys and 40Xs just to ease my mind.

Timmeh, I have the difillipos on mine and as it stands, I'd say they're a tad large for the current set-up. I've lost a bit of torque in the low-mid range. If I could have my time over, I'd throw a set of pacies in, but now I'll just have to bump cubes up to fit the headers.

I'd recomend going to Dom @ Prestige also as he does some mint work and doesn't charge you a fortune. He's not done my full exhaust but has done quite a bit of fix up work and I can't praise him enough. He also knows more than just exhausts and has the ability to spot other little issues that may need your attention, as he did with me. Don't bother with anyone else if you're after a great combination of quality and value.

Yeah I went to Prestige today but they are shut. I think most panel beater and exhaust places are closed until after new year.

I'll go there Monday next week. Hopefully they will be open.

I got this response from APC

Quote:
To supply and fit pacemaker extractors with a 3" hi-flow cat"s and a
new 3" system (exhaust system in mild steel ) the total cost will be
$2760,i do like the sound of a twin it's what i think is the better
system but a lot harder system to build That's why we sell single
system , if you do wont one of them i can build it for you but it
will be a bit more on the price

Still waiting on Prestige to open so I can talk to Dom.

Yeah talk to Dom Pete.

From Dom you should be able to get Pacemaker PH4000's, 2 x 2.5" S/steel X-force metal cats and twin 2 1/4" mandrel bent system with 2 mufflers for $3000.

OMG thats alot of money

Would try and look at wreckers first. the full twin stainless on mine was a mere 400 dollars + Hurrincane headers, sold the headers back off for 100, fitted my self, so all up was 300. cheap cheap

The system i got looks to be two singles, and basicaly, the other side is flipped over, and a pipe extended to reach over the diff.

Yeah I was thinking that would be about the right price.

Not sure if I should keep the headers and make it a lot cheaper cause I was told on another forum that the cats back is where I'll make most of the horsepower rather than swapping the ELGTs for Pacies or Difilippos.

Yeah but then you said if you could get anymore HP out of the Pacies over the EL GT headers you wuld go for it, which you would. It may not be a hell of alot but there would be a gain there.
I think your car is making enough power for a better set of headers. The EL GT's are an awesome on a fairly stock 5.0 but yours is pushing the limits.

Just pretend that the pacemakers have a fomoco logo on them.
