What about BA XR8 motors? I hear they are harder to get sounding good because of the quad cam setup??

GONZO mufflers are the best by far.

Gonzo's are pretty steep from what I've heard but for a street strip car nothing beats them. Especially with the X pipe design and removable caps to really let the car breathe at the strip.

A few exhaust shops I've chatted with have said it takes more effort to get a nice note out of the Boss.

You want sound? If your a bodgy bastard like me you should just drop the system off after the first muffler. That will open her up. Too bad about the resonances on part throttle let alone the petrol fumes entering the cabbin.

My thoughts exactly! used to drop the exhaust off after the extractor collector on my xd LTD 351 when i was in school. best sounding car in the school car park by far! Shame about the fumes and the extreme heat at ur feet. she got a few teachers attention

I wouldn't touch redbacks or any turbo muffler there are so many better straight through mufflers around. I reckon get the biggest performance muffler you can squeeze underthere too. Edelbrocks are nice but they're expensive & the range is quite limited here

Magnaflow straight through.

Proven in the US on Mustangs, good for us too.

Well, i got some Genie extractors the other day for cheap, so they will go on next this week hopefully, and i have chosen the Lukey Ultra flow muffler, i will try that out and see how it goes.

Next then is a set of cats to finish it off.

If i get bored with this setup *no idea how it will sound yet*, i will get rid of it all for better extractors, and a 3" system.
