Explorer or Cobra intake with a 65mm throttle body would be ideal mate. Hit the search tab under the flash ad up the top and do a search in the V8 Workshop for intake or throttle body and you'll find heaps of info in there...

But until the heads are changed, you're going to be disappointed.

already fitted au series 3 maf k&n filter with air box mods has gt heads pacemaker extractors and trickflow manifold but was looking @ au manifold and 70 mm throttle body. this is my daily driver and am not changing the cam until donk needs rebuild! have been told trickflow manifold is better for alloy or heavily ported heads & this engine is mainly stock! Box is ef xr6 5 speed!

The GT40P's will be enough for an explorer and 65mm T/B.

Gotta agree with Scaffy, thats what i'd be looking at too.

Which version trickflow intake...the street heat, or the shorter runner track heat?

Either way, you will be much better off with the Explorer intake.

I agree 100%.
Too much loss of low rpm torque with the Trickflow manifold for street use.

If your going to run std cam i'd definately be going with the Explorer manifold and fit some 1.7 rollers.

As they have said above. Go an explorer manifold and 65mm throttle body. Explorer manifold flows in between the cobra (on the XR8 Sprints) and GT40 ( EB GT) manifolds from all reports I have read. You can have work done to it and make it flow better than the GT40.

my EBXR8 has 60mm at moment. Even with extractors trickflow manifold and gt heads its no more fun than our stock ED XR8 (3"zorst) except for the fact that i put a 5 speed in the EB!
will be sorted asap and hopefully be more responsive down low! too little revs and it bogs down and is sluggish, too many and the rear tyres spin! LSD is also shagged & is next on my to do list as is getting started on my XB fairmont!

i dont know why gt40p's are gettin such a good wrap they are only one step above e7's.

I have just test driven an au 3 xr8 and yes it felt faster than my eb stock but with the diff change i use to stick with em, now tho the power compared to my xr8 id def leave the au behind.

Bang for buck id look at supercharging.

Unless you plan on spending a crap load of money realy modifing thes motors id say dont bother they are to breathless..
