how much do u all think i could expect to pay for 1 of the 220 kw au3 xr8 motors. and would it be a strait forward conversion.

Dude,
Istead of wasting money buying a whole donk, why dont you just spend money on some good heads, manifold, MAF & TB, & cam on your existing motor and you will way out do the 220kw mark

It won't be straight forward conversion but it's been done. If you've got the money, go straight towards getting a set of heads, intake and cam.

recently purchased a 220kwau2 motor and box from perth cost me $5000,you gotta remember that they have a better manifold than previous series ,bigger injectors etc .i originally started to play with eb series when i did my homework it was cheaper to sell that donk and purchase the later !upgraded 40 kw before i start
 ......which brings me to the next topic !!!!anyone like to purchase a low km eb 5.0ltr with 5 speed box  .....doc

How much are you after for the 5 speed incl flywheel, clutch etc?
Although I am building one up at the moment to go behind my 220kw eng, I'm interested.

hey guys i know this is an old thread. but im just after a little more info... ok so i have purchased a au3 220 motor for 4 grand including trans. and everything i need to put it in my ef. ie computer, loom, hell i even got the tail shaft...but here is what im up to... the motor is in the ef now. however i have pulled the coil packes off the au motor rammed a distributor in. also changing all the accesories at the front of the car... i need a little info as to what im gonna have to change... i have allready been told this in the past but i have forgot... cheers.
also i have a few things up for sale... xr8 trans, au alternator and bracket, ho intake manifolds upper and lower... unknown condition but the E7 heads will be up for sale. also the block etc etc... the block may allready be sold tho awaiting confirmation depending on condition... also au111 220 computer and loom will be for sale. ef xr8 injectors will be for sale...coil packs and leads ure for sale also. sorry i prob should post this in the for sale section. but i think this is more likely to sell to people with V8s....
