I have an NC Fairlane, i only got a stright through exhaust an a air pod, so nothing much. But my mate has an AU XR8 series 3 now we have had a little drag and basicly, off the mark I left him for dead even with alot of wheel spin, but when second gear came he catches me then he might bet me by abit. Now what im not sure about is, that he has an LSD diff because I dont have 1, that he just has more power, or the AU transmition has something like a shift kit in it because when mine changes gears it doesnt have the pull like his does. Someone let me know the possiblitys.

It might be the fact that his car has 220kw and yours only has 165kw.

That may be it :D Not only does he have 55kw peak on you, the AU engine will have tons more power everywhere in the rev range.

In all honesty, he should have absolutly embarrased you. For you to get the jump off the line or even keep up with him is amazing, and probably shows he cannot drive it too well or at least stuffed up that run big time.

the XR should be topps by a bit more than that... greater torque .. more power ... better flowing heads and engine set-up.. more refined exhaust set up LSD for grips.. shoulda been a no contest really.. Who knows for an accurate read hit the strip.
