i did this in a v8 commodore i had and it made it sound heaps better but the ford seems to have 2 of them on it... n they seem to be joined to the manifolds.

It's a pointless effort. If you want it to sound better, go have a listen to a few windsors with different exhausts and get the same as what you like the sound of.

There are a whole list of factors that support prydey's post. Not only legality, but the environment, everyone elses health as well as your own health and so on.

I'm sure most other people on here would agree that it is a dumb-a*** idea

Well you did ask for advice, probably not the advice you were wanting though.

if it's a burnout car, why not remove entire exhaust? and leave the headers on?

exactly!

And if you're just going to gut the cats then you're going to have flow problems - turbulence etc. - and it'll lose a bit on the performance front. But if it's just a burnout car it shouldn't be too much of a problem...

Its an EB 5.0L... it doesn't have a lot of power to start with LOL!!

Buy some second hand Windsor extractors and end the exhaust there.. If its a paddock/burnout car who cares!
