wats your price bracket mate, u can spend up to $400 on a cat back zorst with one muffler box or go all out and get extractors, high flow cats, or what i am doing is getting extractors, new cats, twin 3 inch into x pipe, then a muffler box for each pipe then getting it dumped before the diff

If thats your max budget, you could go a twin 2 1/5" cat back or single 3" and maybe if your lucky and pick up 2nd extractors.

but if loud is all you want then cut the mufflers out

If u want a nice deep note at a cheap price, cat back 2.5 inch single system, 1 straight thru resonator and cut it b4 the diff with a dumpy. That sounds insane but u may have issues with legality.

Ask Sean, OVO.... something.  If he's still on here.He has the best sound Windsor that i reckon i've heard.Otherwise, see if you can find a cheap set of extractors, i think they're about $500-$600 on ebay for some pacies.  Other than that, stick with a 2.5" with one muffler and then if thats a little loud, get them to put a hotdog/resonator.  Or get a 3" with one muffler and hotdog/resonator, or it will drone like a b**ch and sound s**t.

I have said it before but it is worth saying again. i have an EB XR8 5speed. i also have an EB fairmont wag. v8. i run twin 2.5" exhaust on both with lukey mufflers and they sound awsome like a seventies v8. yes the XR8 runs a twin all the way to the back and comes out on the one side. A lot of exhaust shop say that it can't be done but it can with a bit of work. the XR8 allso runs super low springs so there is less room than standed, but it still fits

Sean ( ovo616 ) definetly has a great sounding exhaust, a very pleasant deep rumble. He's still on here and if you drop him a PM he'll most likely get back to you in the next week or so.

The only thing with a twin 2.5" exhaust, if you have Ultra lows, it pretty well doesn't fit. On superlows it should, but that was my problem. So it may be someone else's if their cars are really low.

Twin 2.5" with Magnaflow mufflers & X pipe would be my suggestion...

I run twin 2.5" mandrel bent with Hooker Aerochambers and Magnaflow resonators, the note is great but it isn't loud, I'm too old for that now and it drives you crazy having a booming exhaust all day everyday.

Hey all, is a single 3" any good for a stock 5.0. I will be doing a few minor mods hust to help the car breath better. Is a 3" to big or will it still have enough back pressure.

Found this on Ebay:

A single 3" will be fine.I would personally be putting one muffler and a resonator/hotdog on it, to keep the droning down a little though.
