Would love to have an old GT to go with it in the oposite paint scheme.

just looks like a black gt to me. with same options as gtp. with same power as gt and gtp.
really the only difference i can see is the specific side stripes.....sorry for my negativity, but i would just go buy a gt which has the same specs anyway except for the suspension which everyeon upgrades anyways

my 0.02c

Well thats just the point a gt with the same specs comes to well over 70k, while this is 65k, thats not even counting the suspension upgrade and the other niceties added that the standard gt does not have, the side stripes alone are a $1000 option on the standard gt..

Then the standard gt would have cost over 70k and is worth 50k as soon as you take it out the shop, this one is 65k and probably worth 75k if you wanted to sell it ....only the future will tell, but I recon these will be going up in value, if history is anything to go by

-xygtho 300 made in 1971 value 5k new 2007 value 500-700k

-xc cobra similar story now sellin for 50-100k

Wonder if the Cobre stripes are painted on like in the original cobras, or just stickers???

Can't wait to see one in real life, I love the look of em :D

I think it looks good. It's a good 40th edition but a GTHO would be better. :P

I am surprised they didn't work the engine more to get more power or even bolt on a supercharger. All they had to do was dip into the Ford Racing Parts to find some bolt on power.

Just looks too much like a standard GTP with just the strips and the wheels.

Looks very nice. Just a shame being a 40th anniversary it didn't get a minor power boost and there are no interior shots, did they change that at all?

Otherwise, very hot looking GT.

Yes but so easy to tune more power out of it anyway.

I think interior is leather trim with gt 40 embroidery and gold stitching, and custom embroidered floor mats

But no one has seen one of these in real life yet, I think they had a show version of one at the melbourne motor show...Did anyone see it there???

Ive been informed that this 40th aniversary GT is 3 whole seconds a lap quicker around winton than other GT's. But alas it seems that they are already all gone.
I would have traded our Mandarin XR6T on one if it were available. Especially seeing as no-one seems to want to buy it privately.

Same as me really, although it's faster than an XR8 and it sure is funny when all the boat anchors come racing up for a run and then back off as soon as they can read the word Turbo. It's a case of, my wife can't really afford to pay for it so if I have to subsidise the payments it might as well have 8 cylinders and be a manual and therefore might as well be a GT 8-)
