Hi Everyone,

Wanting to know if both harnesses are the same (bar the thermo fan wiring?).

I visually compared both ECUs from the EL (185 Manual EECV) and the NF (Fairlane Auto EECIV) - obviously same number of pins etc...wiring harness ends also very similar.

Apart from the thermo fan wiring - curious if the wiring harness is a direct plug-in to my EL ECU ?

Thanks in advance if anyone can shed some light on this for me !

Thanks,
Steve

Thanks mate.

Apart from the thermos I'd suspect so...do you 'think' so or 'know' so ? :)

Hey Brett - thanks for the confirmation.

A work in progress at the moment mate :)

Triple rotor? Not bad.
Beats his other plan to weld two escort motors together at the base and make his own V8.

Mate, give me the gearbox out of one of those Cosmo 20B's. They are as hardcore as a Ford 9" diff.

what part of the harness are talking about as the computer harness from the computer thro the firewall between the ef and el are diferant were they plug into the crossover harness behind the dash and they have the same number of pinouts at the computer but they are not in the same order for a couple of items not just your thermo fans but the hareness on the engine are the same your computer hareness and dash crossover loom need to stay same or you will have dramas

Hiya XTT909,

Yes the computer harness through the firewall. Understand what you are saying.

Do you know what is actually different other than the thermo fan wiring ?

Would I be able to run EF harness from computer into the same EF crossover harness into the engine bay ?

Thanks again for the info !

- Steve

NF should be EEC5. NC was the last EEC4.
