hay people ,heres my problem when im driving my 1992 eb2 v8 fairmont and i put my foot down all of a sudden the power is lost but if you back of the throttle a bit it comes back, its mainly noticable on hills or when overtaking it really sucks!

the car used to be an automatic and it has a chip in the ecu to suit the change.
maby its thinking about kicking down when i put my foot down ?
any idears would be helpfull, might have to put a carb on it if i cant sort this
