there is some low viscosity synthetic oil out there now. apparently a low viscosity oil improves power by not being so restrictive. 0W-40 is available, along with 5W-30.
thoughts? |

thoughts? 0w-40 oil at operating temp is no different to a 15w-40 and is thicker then the 5w-30. ford recomend 5w-30 or 10w-30 in the AU 6 cyl and 15w-40 in the all of the 'E' 6 cyls. |

i ran castrol formual r 5w30 and it ran like crap the preassure dies in the a***, engine was noisy, and went through a litre every 5k, i would go the 10 60 or the 15 40, i use the 10w60 and love the stuff no oil usage and quieter engine and no noisy engine

that only means your engine has alot wear in it. or was not meant to have 5w30 in it in the first place. i went from using penrite 10w50 to motul 10w40 and my oil pressure went up. |
