i went to fill the car up and i knew i was very low on fuel, so on the way i was driving and it was popping and carrying on when you accelerate and when you backed off it was ok.

so after i put in 97 liters of unleaded it seamed to be ok, so is it normal for the car when its got low fuel say almost empty say 5 liters if that to play up the way it was now this is the 3rd time its done it with low fuel. The low fule light on the dash was not on at the time this was doing it.

Are you putting petrol in the tank, or just the boot, because 97 litres is alot to fit in a 68 litre tank.
But yes its normal, it'll be worse going around corners or uphill, fuel will slosh away from the pickup.
Its not a good idea to let it get so low either.

Sorry my bad it was 67l as it cost me 1.22 a Liter so cost me $105 to fill, but fuel gauge tells lies, and its hard to tell how much i have left when its low.

the pop is usually cause by water accumulated over time. whats left over gets injected into your combustion chambers.

is that bad???
ive herd its only bad letting your car run on low petrol if you havent done it in a long time,
whereas if you say let drive it to almost empty every week, its not as bad because the accumulated water is continually uinjected out

i wasnt too sure what was going on so i stuck a bottle of AUS 5000 Chem Tune, fuel system Concentrate when i filled it up 250ml, cost me nothing was given to me.

Says on the back
AUS 5000 injector Cleaner
>Clean injectors
>Valves and combustion chamber deposits
>Piston rings and cylinders
>fuel tank
>Fuel pump and fuel rail
>Lubricate upper head cylinder area

add 250ml bottle of aus 5000 to a full tank
of fuel. it will treat upto 80 litres of fuel.

Is it true you can stick metho in your fuel to piss the water off? I've just heard it, but can't think how it would work...

Popping out of inlet IS lean condition...
It would have been very low ..
Check or replace fuel filter...
Yes fill up with E10 every now and then...
Metho is Ethonol....With octane rating of 94....
May pay to check or clean maf also??? If V8....
