I drove to my mates place 2nite as he was driving me to a party so I could have some beers at about 6, got back to his place about 11, jump in the car & tke off & the steering felt really heavy & I checked the power steering fluid level that was fine, turn ignition off/on & it was still heavy & stiff turning leaft place the steering not returning.
Could it mean that the power steering pump is screwed?

Make sure the lines from the pump to the rack haven't been funked by oil and that they're all attached properly.
If your car idles too low, it'll make steering heavy too.
If the idle is low, clean your ISC with carby cleaner

It was the Rack that was screwed & I'm up for replacing the colum.
