man that's cheap. thought they'd still be around the 7-8k mark for a non xr and around the 10k mark for an xr.

any car is only worth what the buyer thinks is fair,i knocked 5k of mine in a car yard for cash over 5 years ago and listed 18 repairs to be fixed, worth over 3k,so we agreed to split the bill and i got the repairs done.the car was like new when i picked it up,and no bullsh*t warranty.

Gunt18 has onbe for sale for 10k even. Lots of work done, little to do, and it is a fairy. All it would need would be a set of wheels and dumping on its a**.

i agree!

i'm also a big believer in 'you get what you pay for' and 'if it sounds too good to be true then it often is!'

eb-ef v8's are virtually identical in the driveline to the xr equivelent. el xr8 (and maybe s2ef's) got an extra 5kw and late el's got explorer intake manifold which among other things bumped them out to 185kw.

are you going to modify it? do you want it to go like a v8 should because pre au v8's are pretty choked up in the heads and intake and au's need a decent cam. any e series v8 that has had heads and intake would be worth paying a little extra for or factor these mods into your budget.

just my 2c worth.
