Howdy all, up to the stage on the build where im looking at pushrod lengths.

Now i havent done it before, so can someone give me a run down on the procedure on measureing the correct length needed, and more to the point if i will need different pushrods.

Firstly the car is a 302 windsor out of a 98 fairlane.
What i am putting on car: E303 cam, GT40P heads, 1.7 yella terra roller rockers (non adjustable), plus a few other goodies that wont effect that side of things.

If someone could help me out that woud be great. Need to get this all sorted out, as rego has come around quicker than i realised and i still need to get it all done.

cheers

Ben

iv not done this on a ford moter before only on my holden moters... but the procedure i follow is mock all the rocker gear up so you can turn the pushrod with your fingers (rocker still loose) tighten it to the point where it jjust bites (cant turn the push rod) and aim for 3/4 off a turn when clamping the rocker down after that point where there push rod bites and is roughly the right pre load.... but then you have to ckeck rocker geomatry to make sure its squre to valve stem do that by collering tip off valve stem with texter (before the rocker went on) so by now you shoud be wind moter over n see where the rub mark marks are on the valve stem wicth will tell you if you need to chane push rod length th e rub mark shoud be right in the midle of the valve stem...
